Hello Titan Families!

Welcome to this week's edition of the Olympia High School Weekly Update. I am excited to share the latest happenings and updates from our school community to keep you informed and engaged.

School News and Updates

Cap and Gown Orders for Seniors- Students graduating in 2026 must order their cap and gown from Herff Jones. You can buy from their website HJProud.com, over the phone at (407) 647-4373, or in their store at 6416 Old Winter Garden Rd., Orlando, FL 32835. Prices will increase February 1, so order yours today.

Club Picture Day and the Senior Panoramic will be held on Thursday, December 18th in the gym.

Club pictures will be taken throughout the school day and after school.
Club members will receive their picture passes from their club sponsors.
The senior panoramic will take place during 5th period in the gym. All seniors are encouraged to join us in the gym for the picture.

Important Yearbook Deadlines:

The last day to purchase a senior ad and upload it to the Pictavo website is Saturday, January 10th, 2026.
The last day to personalize your yearbook with a name, picture icon or both is Saturday, January 17th, 2026.

Important Reminders

Student Safety - Once students are on campus, they are required to stay on campus unless signed out by a parent or guardian. This is to ensure that all of our Olympia students are safe and supervised at all times.

This is a critical time for seniors to be actively applying for private scholarships! The month of December brings many major deadlines. Don't wait until the last minute!

All senior parents, guardians, and students are invited and strongly encouraged to attend our upcoming "What's Next Senior Night," sponsored by APEX.

This is a crucial event covering everything your family needs to know as college decisions start coming in. We will discuss essential topics like Financial Aid, Scholarships, and the Next Steps in the process to ensure a smooth transition after graduation.

The focus for Student Services this week is Giving Thanks! As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, this is the perfect time to remind our students and families about the powerful, positive impact of gratitude. Practicing thankfulness is a proven way to reduce stress, increase optimism, and boost overall well-being.

The Power of Gratitude

Focus on the Good: Encourage your student to pause each day and recognize three things—big or small—that they are genuinely thankful for. This simple act shifts focus away from stress and toward positive experiences.
Strengthen Relationships: Students can write a quick thank-you note or send a simple text of appreciation to a teacher, mentor, coach, or friend. Expressing gratitude strengthens connections and provides a positive feeling for both people.
Mindful Moments: Use family time (like dinner) as an opportunity for everyone to share one positive thing that happened in their day.
